There are many great locations to consider when planning a sailing vacation. Sailing trips are a great way to get away from the hassle of everyday life and relax on the beautiful ocean. If you are new to sailing, or if you want to go somewhere you've never been, some research is in order. There are so many different parts of the world in which you can sail. Choosing your vacation destination is a decision that depends on your price range and your own personal preferences. The Caribbean is an ideal destination for sailboat enthusiasts. Sailing in the Caribbean is great because the weather is warm, the scenery is beautiful and there are plenty of boat charter and boat tour companies that provide tourists with fun and memorable sailing experiences. The Caribbean consists of popular vacation islands like Bermuda, Barbados, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas and various others. St. Lucia is a commonly used sailing port for visitors and departing sailors.
Another exotic destination to consider is the Great Barrier Reef. Located off the Queensland coast of Australia, this reef is one of the seven natural wonders. The largest living coral reef found anywhere, the Great Barrier Reef is home to a plethora of marine animals. On a sailing trip to this area scuba diving would be an excellent way to spend the day. Under the surface are giant sea turtles, fish in bright rainbow colors and more. You might even spot playful dolphins during your Great Barrier Reef sailing expedition. Whether you take a guided tour or a self-navigated trip you are sure to see some beautiful sights here.

Here you will find Myrtle Beach, a variety of professional quality golf courses and plenty of sailing charters and opportunities. Other popular U.S. destinations include the New England area, California and of course Florida, whose popular Keys welcome a large number of vacationers each year.
